Help create a pregnancy decisions app for people with developmental disabilities: Seeking research survey participants.
Together with community members, the Pregnancy Decision App Project is creating an app about decision making and pregnancy for adults with intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD). We know that people with disabilities often have the same interests and desires as anyone else. This team at Oregon Health & Science University is working to develop tools to help support reproductive health.
The research team is recruiting adults with I/DD to share their views on what information adults with I/DD think is important to include in the app. This information is being collected through a survey. Their research team can assist individuals with the survey over Zoom or the phone.
People are eligible to participate who:
- Have a developmental disability, such as intellectual disability or autism
- Are between 18-50 years old
- Have any possibility of getting pregnant (even if it is unlikely)
- Live in the United States
If you do the survey:
- You will get a link to do the survey online
- The survey will take about 30-60 minutes
- You will be paid $25
The survey results will help the research team understand what to put in the app. Please share this opportunity with those who may be interested and eligible! To keep survey bots away, please do not share this opportunity on social media. For [a] digital flyer or paper flyers [about the survey], call or email the project team.
If you are interested in doing the survey, please sign-up using the form or contact the research team at [Email:] decisions-app@ohsu.edu or [Phone:] 971-322-2657.
