Georgia Disability History Symposium [In-Person and Online]
Theme: We Make It Happen: Mutual Aid as a Call to Action.
The symposium will feature Tim Vogt and Jan Goings from Starfire Council in Cincinnati, Ohio. Other presenters will include multiple Georgians, both young and seasoned, who have made important impacts in our state. This event is free, but you must register. There are two ways to attend: in person and online/virtually. See below for details.

The event is free, but you must register for the in-person event before October 5.
*If you are attending in-person, please allow time to arrive early to park, check in, and get settled.

Lunch will be provided by the Masters Table. A menu and details about food allergies will be listed here soon. We will have coffee available throughout the event.

Accommodations:
Communication access real-time translation (CART) will be provided. Zoom captions will be available as video subtitles and as a live transcript. Scholarship Opportunity:
The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) Dottie Adams Scholarship awards small grants (not to exceed $2,500) that helps individuals with disabilities and their families attend advocacy, learning events and conferences. Please note that no individual or family may receive these funds in successive years.
Applications must be received at least 30 days prior to the event (but no more than three months prior to the event) in order to be considered for approval for reimbursement of expenses. The complete list of guidelines and application are on GCDD’s website. Funding is limited and is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
