This 4-hour virtual seminar focuses on best practices when handling situations that arise under the ADA. Topics include:
- Overview of the ADA, the Interactive Process and Reasonable Accommodations.
- Key Principles of Disability Etiquette for Effective Communication and why it is so important when addressing individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
- To Tell or Not to Tell: Disclosing an Invisible Disability in the Workplace.
Learn from EEO experts as they use real world examples and scenarios to help you better understand the world of hidden disabilities.
What is neurodiversity? What disabilities and characteristics best describe someone who fits under this umbrella term? Join us for a workshop that focuses on neurodiversity and invisible disabilities in the workplace. Learn what this concept means, when and why it might be necessary to disclose the diagnosis, what accommodations can be requested. This workshop will discuss best practices when handling situations that may arise under the Americans with Disabilities Act and will provide discussion on why understanding communications with individuals with physical and mental disabilities is so important for creating inclusive and respectful workplaces. This session includes real-life accommodation situations and solutions.
