UNC Center for Aging & Adult Research & Educational Services (Cares) announces new role as the North Carolina Affiliate for the Southeast ADA Center

As the Southeast ADA Center Affiliate for the state of North Carolina, the Center for Aging and Adult Research and Educational Services (Cares), a program of the UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work, will serve as a conduit of information, education, and technical guidance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other disability rights laws.

Cares will assist the Southeast ADA Center in partnering with organizations across the state, particularly in the underserved aging network. Cares will also work to identify individuals to participate in the Southeast ADA Center research initiatives that relate to studying the intersectionality of race and disability as it impacts three ADA related topics, employment, short and long-term poverty, and access to digital technology.
