U.S. Access Board to Host Public Event on Equity in Healthcare for People with Disabilities

The next virtual meeting of the Board will take place on January 12, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) and address access to healthcare for people with disabilities, including relevant standards, resources, and best practices. Prior to the event, the Board will hold its regular business meeting from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), which is also open to the public.

Members of the U.S. Access Board meet regularly every two months. Board meetings are open to the public. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Board meetings are held virtually. Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) and sign language interpreters are available at all Board meetings and events.

At its last meeting on November 10, Access Board member Karen Braitmayer, FAIA provided a presentation on “Designing for Inclusion: Architectural Trends and Social Justice”.
