To learn more about effective partnerships between workforce systems and banks, the Office of Disability Employment Policy, in collaboration with its LEAD Center, is sponsoring pilot projects with three local workforce development entities: New York’s Capital Region (Albany, NY), Michigan Works! Southwest (Kalamazoo, MI) and CareerSource Broward (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). The pilots will develop best practices for using bank resources to improve employment and economic self-sufficiency for low-income people with disabilities of color, in alignment with the Community Reinvestment Act.
