November Is National Family Caregivers Month

November 19, 2020
Source: National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC)

November is National Family Caregivers Month, organized by the Caregiver Action Network and recognizing the efforts of family caregivers across the country. Families provide the bulk of support for individuals with disabilities and older adults in the community. Many family caregivers also work full or part time while they provide care. It can be rewarding and challenging at the same time: Caregivers can experience significant emotional, physical, and financial stress, especially in difficult times like these. Research and development in this area looks to support caregivers, giving them the tools and technologies they need to provide care for the people they love and take care of themselves at the same time. We explored recent research efforts and resources for caregivers from the NIDILRR community and elsewhere in our blog.
