The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) provides information to help employers, employees and others work together during the interactive process to successfully resolve job accommodation issues. JAN has developed a new resource, What Employers Can Do When They Cannot Identify an Effective Accommodation.

Often, effective workplace accommodations are easy to identify. But what should employers do when that’s not the case? A new resource from the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) explains options to consider when an employer is not able to identify an accommodation after making a good faith effort to do so. These include communicating further with the employee, seeking guidance from outside resources, trial accommodations, job reassignment, and more.

Check out the JAN website for resources on effective job accommodations and related issues.
