Weighing My Options: Mental Health and Reasonable Accommodation on the Job
October 26, 2022
1:00-2:00 p.m., Eastern Time
Register for the webinar: https://events.yangtaninstitute.org/e/9312/register
Description:
At the Northeast ADA Center, we often hear from individuals with mental health disabilities who are trying to sort out their rights and accommodation needs in the workplace. While we cannot advise any individual on what they should do, we can advise people on their rights under the ADA.
This webinar will discuss employment rights under the ADA and answer these questions:
- What is a disability under the ADA?
- What can my employer ask me?
- Who gets to know what I share about my disability?
- What is a reasonable accommodation?
This webinar may be of particular interest for individuals with disabilities, employment service providers, and all those with a general interest in this topic.
Presenters: Joe Zesski, Program Manager, Northeast ADA Center
Christopher Sweet, Technical Assistant and Outreach Specialist, Northeast ADA Center
If you require any reasonable accommodations in order to participate in the event, please notify the Northeast ADA Center by contacting Alexis Boytsov, Project Administrator, at northeastada@cornell.edu, at least 72 hours prior to the event.
