The Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network is launching the “Think Higher. Think College.” campaign to build awareness and expand access to college for students with intellectual disability. The campaign will increase knowledge of inclusive college options, share information about the benefits and outcomes of students with intellectual disability attending college, and offer people ways to spread the message: “Think Higher. Think College.”
Join us for the launch of the “Think Higher. Think College” public awareness campaign through Think College Awareness Week from April 24-28, 2023. This week-long event offers daily virtual learning events sharing information and resources for students, families, educators, transition professionals, and higher education personnel to explore the possibilities and learn more about college options for people with intellectual disability.
Think College Awareness Week will feature the world premiere of a new video designed to raise awareness of college options for students with intellectual disability. All events are FREE and open to the public. ALL are welcome to attend, and you’ll receive just one link to access any event – live or recorded! Even if you can’t attend live, be sure to register to receive access to the recordings.
ASL and live captions will be provided for each event.
Think College is excited to partner with nine other organizations to work towards a new paradigm: What if every young adult with intellectual disability in the United States saw college as an option?
To make that a reality we need your help! There are still many people who don’t know college is an option for young adults with intellectual disability. Inclusive postsecondary education happening at more than 300 colleges in the country, changing students’ lives and making campuses more inclusive.
Think Employment. Think Access. Think Equity. Think Independence. Think Friendship. Think Confidence. Think Inclusion.
