In recognition of the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Humanity Consideration Consultants presents a powerful virtual roundtable discussion titled, “A Covenant of Dignity, Still Holding.”
This gathering of thought leaders, advocates, and practitioners will reflect on the ADA as more than a piece of legislation. We will remember this civil rights law as a moral covenant rooted in dignity, equity, and justice.
We will revisit the law’s historic signing in 1990 and its expansion in 2008, honor its living legacy, acknowledge the challenges that remain, and explore a shared response with compassion, strategy, and collective resolve. Our charge is clear: to protect the promise, preserve the progress, and pursue accessibility victories for generations yet to come.
As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. powerfully declared, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” For the bend towards justice to occur, it asks something of us, and we must be ready to answer the call.
