In celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), join EARN on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 2:00 -3:00 p.m. Eastern time for the “Retaining Valued Employees with Disabilities: The Importance of Performance Coaching and Management” webinar. Learn about effective strategies people managers can use to support and empower their employees with disabilities when engaging in coaching and performance dialogues to ensure they can succeed on the job.
Performance coaching and management is an important component of retaining all workers, including those with disabilities. Providing regular feedback helps employees understand the duties of their job, grow existing skills and develop new ones, and make improvements and changes where necessary. However, some managers may be hesitant to have these important conversations with their employees with disabilities for a variety of reasons.
During this webinar, participants will hear from Harwinder Taunque, Senior Vice President and Testing Group Manager at Citi, and Cathy West, Vice President at JP Morgan Chase’s Office of Disability Inclusion. They will share effective strategies managers can use to support and empower employees with disabilities and confidently engage in coaching and performance dialogues. Topics to be discussed include:
- The importance of regular coaching and feedback for employees with disabilities.
- Addressing performance concerns when you know or suspect that an employee has a disability.
- Ensuring that people with disabilities are not unfairly disadvantaged in the process of performance appraisal and development.
- How coaching and effective performance management can lead to better employee engagement and retention outcomes.
