On July 25, 2025, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Public Notice announcing the appointment of members and Co-Chairs for the Consumer Protection and Accessibility Advisory Committee (CPAAC). The CPAAC will provide advice and recommendations to the Commission on a wide array of consumer protection and accessibility matters specified by the Commission.

The FCC also announced that the first meeting of the CPAAC will be held on Wednesday, September 10, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The CPAAC meeting will be held in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters, located at 45 L Street, NE, Washington, DC 20554. The meeting will be open to the public and webcast with open captioning and interpreting services at https://www.fcc.gov/live. The agenda for this meeting will be posted on the CPAAC’s webpage at http://www.fcc.gov/cpaac/.
