Description:
Ballroom dancing provides many physical and mental health benefits such as improved strength, endurance, cognition, and mood. It also provides self-expression, relaxation, social connections, and acceptance of others. During this session, dancers with physical disabilities and their partners and/or instructors without physical disabilities will share their experiences participating in ballroom classes and competitions. Dancers will also share tips for others to consider when exploring adaptive ballroom dancing. Participants will have an opportunity to ask the speakers questions following the presentation.

This session will have Real-Time Captioning and Sign Language Interpreter available.

Continuing Education Credit available: Certificate of Attendance; ACTCP: 1.5 Credits
