Thursday, July 27, 2023
6:00 -7:00 pm, Eastern time
Description:
Mark the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and join the Interfaith Disability Advocacy Coalition on July 27th at 6 PM (Eastern Time) for a virtual conversation with Lydia X. Z. Brown, Director of Public Policy at the National Disability Institute. Together, we will discuss how economic security for people with disabilities is essential to fulfill the vision of the ADA and learn how we can all engage in disability advocacy through an intersectional lens.
About IDAC: The Interfaith Disability Advocacy Coalition (IDAC) is a diverse, nonpartisan coalition of national religious organizations from the Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Sikh traditions whose core spiritual values affirm the rights and dignity of people with disabilities. IDAC mobilizes the religious community to take action on disability policy with Congress, the President and Administration, and society-at-large. IDAC is part of the Washington Interfaith Staff Community (WISC), a network of over 70 Washington offices of national religious bodies and faith-based organizations.
