Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST Training Event

Description:
This 90-minute training provides an in-depth look at the requirements and technical specifications for accessible parking under the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Participants will explore design and construction standards for creating accessible parking areas and ensuring these spaces are connected by accessible routes, as outlined in FHA Requirements 1 and 2. Topics include resident and visitor parking, signage and markings, parking and access aisles, curb ramps, and other critical elements of accessible parking. Join us to gain practical insights into compliant, inclusive parking design. An accessibility expert will be on hand to answer live questions about designing and implementing accessible parking.
