This session will review the minimum design requirements for accessible parking and potential solutions to address the needs of those who require it. Presenters will propose improvements that can be made at a state or local government level, including the need to increase the proportion of accessible spaces relative to all parking, educating the public to help make people aware of accessible parking and who needs it, and steps that can improve enforcement and ensure those who need parking can access it.\nThis webinar will include video remote interpreting (VRI) and real-time captioning.\nParticipants may submit questions in advance of the webinar during the registration process or may ask questions during the live session.\nContinuing Education Credit Available: Certificate of Attendance: 1.5 Credit hours; ADA Coordinator Certification: 1.5 Credit hours; AIA HSW CES: 1.5 Credit hours; California Architects Board: 1.5 Credit hours; ICC: 1.5 Credit hours; LA CES: 1.5 Credit hours.\nSpeakers\n\nStephen Lieberman, Senior Director of Advocacy & Policy, United Spinal Association ( https://accessibilityonline.org/speakers/speaker.aspx?id=11184&ret=Accessible%20Parking:%20Pushing%20Beyond%20Minimum%20Requirements%20to%20Meet%20Today%E2%80%99s%20Demand )\nJosh Schorr, Technical Assistance Coordinator, U.S. Access Board ( https://accessibilityonline.org/speakers/speaker.aspx?id=10805&ret=Accessible%20Parking:%20Pushing%20Beyond%20Minimum%20Requirements%20to%20Meet%20Today%E2%80%99s%20Demand )\n\n
