OFCCP Releases New Technical Assistance Guide for Small Federal Contractors
December 4, 2020
Source: Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP)
The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is pleased to announce the release of its new technical assistance guide for small contractors.
The guide provides compliance assistance regarding equal employment opportunity obligations for small federal supply and service, construction contractors and subcontractors, as well as and federally assisted construction contractors and subcontractors. The agency considers contractors’ sizes when developing its requirements to consider the burdens on small contractors.
Small contractors can use the technical assistance guide as a self-assessment tool to review the practices they have in place to eliminate discrimination and achieve their equal employment opportunity goals.
The guide addresses the following key objectives for contractors:
- Understand equal employment opportunity (EEO) obligations under the laws OFCCP enforces.
- Learn how to comply with federal EEO laws, even in the absence of a scheduled compliance evaluation by OFCCP.
- Learn requirements and key differences in requirements for small [versus] larger contractors.
OFCCP provides meaningful compliance assistance to help federal contractors comply with the laws and regulations it enforces and understand the compliance evaluation process. We hope the release of this new technical assistance guide will further this aim and serve as a useful tool. Find all of OFCCP’s compliance assistance guides.
