American consumers with limited English proficiency face numerous obstacles in accessing financial products and services.

You can help decrease those obstacles by commenting on our Request for Information, by the December 1, 2020 deadline.

Last summer we put out a Request for Information (RFI) on how best to create a regulatory environment that expands access to credit and ensures that all consumers and communities are protected from discrimination in every aspect of a credit transaction.

Limited English proficiency is one of several topics listed in the RFI. Other topics include small business lending, public assistance income, and artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Your input will help us continue to prevent unlawful discrimination and foster innovation.
