FCC Seeks Comment on General Motors Petition to Waive Some Real-Time Text Requirements

On December 21, 2018, the FCC released a public notice seeking comment on a petition filed by General Motors Holding LLC (GM). GM’s petition asks to waive certain minimum functionality requirements for a real-time text (RTT) chat application that will be used in its autonomous-vehicle ride-hailing service.
