The film “Intelligent Lives” stars three young American adults with intellectual disabilities – Micah, Naieer, and Naomie – who challenge the meaning of the word “intelligence” as they navigate high school, college, and the workforce. Academy Award-winning actor and narrator Chris Cooper explores the lives of these central characters through the emotional personal story of his son Jesse, as the film looks at the shameful and ongoing history of intelligence testing in the U.S.

The national tour of the film “Intelligent Lives” continues. The film team and local screening hosts are opening doors to inclusive education and employment across the U.S. with film screenings and discussions. There are many screenings happening in the Southeast region and throughout the U.S. Check out the website to find a screening near you. It’s easy and fun to host a screening in your community!
