ADA and the FTA: Improving Transit Access for People with Disabilities

As part of the ADA Anniversary, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) published a YouTube video (3:06 minutes, captioned) on July 26, 2017 that highlights the benefits of accessible transportation for everyone, most especially for people with disabilities.

Transit opens doors to jobs, education, social connections and other opportunities. Since the Americans with Disabilities Act passed in 1990, the transit industry has worked to make buses and trains accessible to all. Learn more about their efforts and how FTA helps transit agencies comply with the ADA.
