ODEP's State Exchange on Employment and Disability (SEED) program, including its intermediary partners, the Council of State Governments and National Conference of State Legislatures, will provide disability employment policy expertise to the newly launched Kentucky Work Matters Task Force. ODEP's Deputy Assistant Secretary Jennifer Sheehy joined Governor Matt Bevin for the announcement earlier this week at a press conference in Frankfort with federal and state officials and other key stakeholders. The new 23-member task force will bring together key departments of Kentucky state government and private-sector representatives to address barriers to employment and promote workforce inclusion among targeted constituencies, including people with disabilities, foster children, disabled veterans, and others.
